AWARD for Research and Education from the VRA 2015

VRC is proud to have been the 2015 winner of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA) Award in the category Research and Education. The award is made after examination of submissions to an independent judging panel. The 2015 finalists were

VRC took first place jointly with Salford University, to whom we offer our congratulations.

VRC’s submission was a review of studies about employment advice for disadvantaged people. Our report summarises the evidence and provides detail on skills and approaches that encourage employability, and common practices which are ineffective. It will be published in 2016 in the Journal of Continuing Education of the Polish National Institute for Sustainable Technologies.

This research forms a significant part of an EU ERASMUS+ project led by VRC ltd and TREXIMA (Solvakia. The research findings will be subject to a randomised control trial of advisor training and e-learning in the second phase of the project with partners in Cyprus and Hungary and Poland.

STAR Project

The Soft Skills Project was awarded ‘Star’ status by EU Leonardo da Vinci / Lifelong Learning Programme’s National Agency in Cyprus. Each year a few projects of outstanding quality are chosen for recognition that they have produced quality products and achieved and exceeded their goals. we are proud that Soft Skills has been recognised by this award.
